Experience Magic, Lights, and Festive Fun in Roscommon This December

Roscommon is set to sparkle this December as the town welcomes locals and visitors to one of its most magical weekends of the year. The Roscommon Christmas Festival and Enchanted Christmas Trail take place on 6–7 December. This festive celebration is completely free to attend. In addition, it promises fun, lights, and entertainment for all ages.
Dec 6th & 7th, 1pm – 7pm
Location: The Square, Roscommon
Roscommon Town Square will shine with festive spirit. Over 30 stalls offer handmade gifts, local produce, and tasty seasonal treats. In addition, food vendors, Christmas characters, lively street performances, and even dinosaurs make the market extra special. There is also a special drive-by visit from Santa, ensuring fun for the whole family. Visitors can browse unique gifts while enjoying the festive atmosphere.
Dec 6th & 7th, 5:30pm – 7:30pm
Location: Loughnaneane Park, Roscommon
Loughnaneane Park transforms into an Enchanted Christmas Trail with twinkling lights, glowing displays, and magical scenes. Along the trail, visitors can meet Christmas characters — including the Grinch. They can also enjoy a lantern installation created by local schoolchildren. Moreover, live performances from the Roscommon Men’s Choir, featuring special guest Mickey Joe Harte, add to the festive cheer. The weekend culminates on Sunday night with a spectacular fireworks display to close the festival.
