Laugh, dance and support Pride – a night of comedy, burlesque and celebration in Athlone!

Heartlands Pride Athlone is excited to team up with Only After Dark for a fundraiser party on 19 July 2025. This event will be full of fun, laughter and great performances. It aims to support the Heartlands Pride Winter Festival, which takes place from 7 to 9 November 2025.
Tickets cost only €5 and can be bought on Eventbrite or at the Mardyke Bar on the night. The show features the comedic duo The Wild Geeze, who will headline the event. They come from Ballinasloe and Limerick and bring a unique mix of comedy and activism. The duo includes lesbian farmer Breda Larkin and burlesque star Miss Lavelle. They have appeared on the Tommy Tiernan Show and performed at major Pride events across Ireland.
After the comedy, DJ Deanface from Athlone will play music to keep the party alive. The Only After Dark Burlesque team will also perform exciting acts. Moreover, there will be a raffle to raise extra funds. All proceeds will go towards the Heartlands Pride Winter Festival.
Heartlands Pride Athlone and Only After Dark encourage local businesses to donate prizes for the raffle. This is a great way to support the community.
