The Heart of Ireland Burlesque Festival returns to Athlone, Co. Westmeath from 12th to 14th September 2025 for a spectacular three-day celebration of burlesque in the very heart of the country. Created by Memphis Shell, this dazzling event is a vibrant mix of performance, empowerment and artistic expression.
Whether you’re a long-time lover of burlesque or a curious newcomer, this weekend promises unforgettable entertainment. Expect show-stopping performances from world-class burlesque artists, a series of interactive workshops, and two exhilarating nights of competition.
Night One features the Sionnan Spirit Award, shining a spotlight on new talent in the Irish burlesque scene. Night Two is the grand Gala Night, where performers will compete for the coveted title of The Heart of Ireland – a prestigious crown recognising excellence in burlesque.
Beyond the stage, there will be workshops to awaken your creativity and connect with the art form, plus social events to meet and mingle with fellow burlesque lovers. This festival is about more than performance – it’s a celebration of self-expression and body confidence.
