A Night of Live Music, Song & Celebration
Enjoy an unforgettable evening of traditional music, song, storytelling and dance at Festival Folk, taking place on Thursday 10 December 2026 at the Abbey Hotel, Roscommon. Bringing together an exceptional line-up of local talent and internationally renowned performers, this special live music event promises a wonderful night of entertainment, community spirit and celebration.
Organised in aid of Vita House Roscommon’s Cancer Support Services, Festival Folk combines a fantastic programme of Irish music and entertainment with an opportunity to support an important local cause.
The impressive line-up features some outstanding names from the Irish music scene, including Mike Hanrahan of Stockton’s Wing, Eleanor Shanley, Kieran Hanrahan, former presenter of RTÉ Radio’s Céilí House, and Ger O’Donnell.
They will be joined by a host of talented performers, including Michael Banahan, Bill Shanley, Louise Killeen, Teague & Joyce, and Vincent Pierce, All-Ireland Champion Storyteller at Fleadh 2026.
The evening will also feature performances from the Loch na nEan Céilí Band and Shannon Academy School of Dance, bringing traditional Irish music, dancing and storytelling together in one lively programme.
Keeping the evening flowing will be compere Deirdre Kelly, guiding audiences through what promises to be a memorable celebration of Irish culture and musical talent.
Taking place from 8pm to 11.15pm, Festival Folk is more than just a night of entertainment. It is an opportunity to support the vital work of Vita House Roscommon, which provides valuable support to individuals and families navigating a cancer journey through its dedicated cancer support services.
