ISESA Conference 2026 at Technological University Shannon Athlone
The 2nd ISESA Conference will take place on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd May 2026 at Technological University of the Shannon Athlone campus. Following the success of its inaugural event at South East Technological University Waterford in 2025, this growing conference continues to bring together Ireland’s Sport and Exercise Sciences community in an engaging and collaborative setting.
This year’s programme has been shaped by attendee feedback and will feature a dynamic mix of symposia, oral and poster presentations, interactive discussions and practical workshops. The event welcomes students, academics, researchers, practitioners and industry professionals, offering a valuable platform to share knowledge, showcase research and explore the latest developments in the field.
A strong emphasis is placed on connection and networking, making this more than just a conference. Delegates will have multiple opportunities to meet like-minded professionals and build meaningful relationships throughout the two days. Social highlights include a BBQ with live music at Sean’s Bar on Thursday evening, providing a relaxed and uniquely Athlone experience. For early risers, an optional morning run on Friday offers another informal way to connect while enjoying the local surroundings.
