Grogan’s Glasson in the center of the lovely village of Glasson, County Westmeath is a charming old-world pub and restaurant that has won numerous awards.
The delightfully atmospheric historic family bar and restaurant Grogan’s of Glasson is run by hosts Moira and Miriam Grogan and dates back to 1750.
Enter through the small door and you’ll immediately see how unique and charming the pub is. The warm front bar has a magnificent open fire, a flag floor, and a mix of wood and brass furnishings. It is split in the traditional way.
The menu is varied and very good value, and specialities include steaks and seafood dishes. Each dish has been imaginatively created, and there are sufficient options to accommodate all tastes.
Every Friday night, three generations of the same talented family perform traditional céili music, and traveling musicians are always welcome.
