The All Ireland Drama Festival is taking place in Athlone from the 2nd – 10th May 2024. Concluding with The Awards Night on the 11th May 2024.
Join us at the 2024 RTÉ All Ireland Drama Festival, taking place from May 2nd to 10th and proudly presented by the Amateur Drama Council of Ireland. Tickets for this exciting event will be available for purchase starting this Thursday, April 18th, at the Dean Crowe Theatre in Athlone.
Online sales will kick off at 10 am through the deancrowetheatre.com booking portal, while box office sales will start at 12 pm. In 2004, RTÉ joined forces with the festival, bringing significant visibility and support through their national broadcasting platform. RTÉ continues to collaborate closely with the local committee, providing professional expertise in marketing and branding. The Festival is prominently featured across RTÉ media platforms, including Radio, Television, and online. RTÉ has played a key role in organizing the Awards Ceremony, held at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Athlone since 2005, with a separate event following the final performance night of the competition. Additionally, RTÉ has offered screen-testing opportunities to Festival competitors, giving many actors a chance to participate in the organization’s flagship soap opera, Fair City.
