Taking place at Saint Kierans Community Centre, Athlone on Saturday, April 18 from 5 pm to 10 pm, this is the perfect opportunity to learn, move, and meet new people in a lively and welcoming environment.
These workshops are designed for dancers of all levels. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to refresh your steps, you’ll enjoy five hours of immersive salsa and bachata sessions. You don’t need a partner to join, making it easy to come along solo or with friends.
The evening features incredible instructors from across the globe. Carlos Patino, originally from Mexico, will kick off the night with an energising warm-up, helping you get comfortable with both salsa and bachata basics. Following him, Angel Olvera, also from Mexico, will guide you through beautiful and intricate choreographies that will challenge and delight you. The final hour is with Ivonne Cabu from Spain, whose dynamic teaching style and pure energy will leave you inspired and motivated to keep dancing.
Beyond learning dance moves, this event is a fantastic way to connect with fellow dance enthusiasts, enjoy vibrant Latin music, and experience a sense of community. With a clear focus on fun, movement, and cultural expression, everyone aged 18+ is welcome.
