Step into the Otherworld… if you dare. On 25th October, The Spooktacular Summoning at Dún na Sí Amenity & Heritage Park offers an immersive Halloween experience unlike any other, drawing visitors deep into the heart of Irish myth, folklore, and Celtic ritual. Rooted in the ancient traditions of Samhain, this event reawakens the stories our ancestors told — a time when the veil between the living and the dead was thin.
Guests will journey through a haunting realm of the Otherworld, encountering the fairy folk, the Daoine Sí, whose whispers tempt them across the veil. The chilling wail of the Banshee echoes through a lonely farmhouse, while encounters at crossroads and dark rites of hags and wise women unsettle even the bravest. In the forge, iron strikes against fate itself as the headless rider draws near, and the museum transforms into a haunted house of legend, inspired by the tales of Henry Ferris.
The night culminates in a dramatic fire ceremony led by the Púca, summoning spirits and marking the turning of the Celtic year. Through masterful storytelling and performance, Ireland’s old beliefs come vividly to life: fairies, banshees, spirits, and shapeshifters return to remind visitors of a time when every flicker of wind or flame carried meaning.
More than a Halloween show, The Spooktacular Summoning is a journey into the dark half of the year, where endings and beginnings intertwine and the echoes of Ireland’s past speak once more. Part of Ireland’s Home of Halloween in Longford-Westmeath and Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, this 25th October event is a must-visit for anyone seeking a truly mystical, spine-chilling experience.
