Welcome to the Athlone Agri Show 2025, held on 15th June 2025 at Michael O’Donohoe’s farm in Garnafeilagh, Athlone (Eircode N37 V252).
This year, the Athlone Agri Show 2025 promises to be one of the best regional events. Admission tickets are available at the entrance. Prices are:
The show features 107 equine classes across five rings. Highlights include Broodmares and Foals, In-Hand Connemara Ponies, Ridden Ponies, Irish Draughts, Working Hunter, Show Jumping, and qualifiers for the Dublin Horse Show and ISA All Ireland Championships 2024.
New this year are Donkey Classes and a qualifier for the ISA and Ballinashoe Show All Ireland Donkey Mare and Foal Championship. The cattle section has grown to showcase pedigree breeds such as Angus, Hereford, Charolais, and Limousin.
Additionally, the sheep section hosts the All Ireland Breeders Championships, proudly sponsored by Kepak. The Poultry Marquee features bantams, heavy and light feather fowl, ducks, turkeys, and the unique ‘Most Unusual Bird’ class.
Families will enjoy the Super Dog Show, where dogs of all sizes compete. The Champion small dog will receive the Ellen Devery perpetual cup.
Moreover, the event offers cookery, art, and photography competitions for all ages. The Made in the Midlands Food and Craft Village showcases artisan producers and local flavours.
