A celebration of local music talent at the iconic Batty’s Barn in Knockcroghery.

Roscommon Pride is bringing live music back to one of County Roscommon’s most memorable venues with its first-ever Battle of the Bands, taking place on Saturday, 8 August at Batty’s Barn in Neds Bar, Knockcroghery. Starting at 8pm, this exciting event will showcase talented musicians and bands from Roscommon and the surrounding region as they compete for the title of winning act of the night.
For many music lovers, Batty’s Barn holds a special place in local music history. During the 1990s, the famous hay shed at Batty’s was known as the place to discover emerging musical talent and experience unforgettable live performances. Roscommon Pride is reviving that spirit by creating a platform where local artists can perform in front of a live audience and celebrate the region’s vibrant music scene.
Audiences can expect a night filled with original music, crowd favourites, energetic performances and plenty of atmosphere. Whether you are a long-time supporter of local music or simply looking for a great night out with friends, the Battle of the Bands promises entertainment, nostalgia and the chance to discover new talent.
Tickets are available for just €5 plus the Eventbrite booking fee, making this an affordable evening of live music in a unique setting. Proceeds from the event will contribute towards the winning band or performer’s prize and help support future Roscommon Pride events and initiatives.
Musicians interested in entering the competition are encouraged to contact Roscommon Pride for further details. The event welcomes performers eager to showcase their talent and compete in front of a passionate audience.
Join Roscommon Pride at Batty’s Barn on 8 August and help make the galvanised roof shake once again as local music takes centre stage in Knockcroghery.
