The Connaught Street & Environs Community Market returns to Athlone this June Bank Holiday weekend after a hugely successful Spring Market. Join the celebrations on Sunday May 31st from 12pm to 4pm at The Hollow, Battery Bridge, where the west side of Athlone will once again be full of colour, music and community spirit.
Visitors can explore 35+ stalls packed with local crafts, handmade gifts, artisan products, baked goods, hot food and ice cream. It is a fantastic opportunity to support local businesses, discover talented makers and enjoy the best of what the region has to offer. The entertainment starts on Saturday May 30th with live jazz music in Walsh’s Bar, setting the tone for a lively Bank Holiday weekend. On Sunday, the celebrations continue with a trad session from 4pm in McNeill’s after the market.
