The Golden Mile

A sunny day or evening and The Golden Mile go hand in hand!

This trail runs for exactly one mile starting at the White Bridge and follows along the River Shannon and canal and back. A beautiful way to relax, catch some rays and watch the boats go by.

The trail is excellent for birders, anglers and hikers, and dogs on a leash are welcome.

This trail is also part of a longer loop walk called the Shannon Banks Nature Trail which starts at the Luan Gallery and continues along the Golden mile and on further up the canal.  This trail is 5.3k in distance and is a beautiful walk for anyone who enjoys the outdoors.
