Experience 145 acres of wild beauty at Yew Point, a secluded peninsula on the shores of Lough Ree, nestled within a Special Area of Conservation. Currently being developed as a regenerative eco retreat, Yew Point is home to native woodlands, meadows and a future collection of 36 low-impact, sustainably built cabins.
Until the full resort opens, access is available by guided walk only—exclusively for hotel guests. These walks follow scenic looped trails of 2.5km and 6km, offering a peaceful immersion in Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands.
As custodians of this sensitive environment, the team at Hodson Bay Hotel work to protect local biodiversity through rewilding and tree planting, including a contribution of over 15,000 trees to the national 100 Million Trees Project.
From forest bathing to foraging and seasonal wildlife spotting, each walk reveals something new. Spaces are limited to preserve the tranquillity of the land—advance booking is essential.
